It’s that time of year… Convention Season!
Well, maybe not, but this year it’s at least convention time.
After a long uneventful year (get it?) in quarantine, we are ready to bust out. As events are coming back online, people are vaccinated, and we all can gather safely, the members of The Southern Cemetery, Cremation, and Funeral Home Association are ready to convene. The SCCFA – or just, The Southern – convention will be held June 20-22 at The Westin in Hilton Head, South Carolina and we cannot wait! My Goat will be there ready to mix and mingle and show off our Goats!
Attending conferences usually keeps you in the know with the latest in your respective industry and connects you with your peers, and this conference is no different. But from what I’ve learned, It’s that and so much more.
From those I’ve spoken to, all convey the same sentiment- The Southern is no ordinary conference. The Southern is a family. The Southern is a celebration. And The Southern is a reunion.
My Goat will be there with goats and goats!
And in addition to the robots, our human team will also be in attendance – our Founder and CEO Neil Amrhein, as well as Shelly Gary, Meg Musselwhite, and our newest teammate, Roxroy Parham. Please come by and chat, as I’m sure most of you will understand, we’ve been talking to each other all year long!
At the My Goat Booth, the My Goat human team will be performing software demos while the robot mowers perform the hardware demonstration. We would also love the opportunity to discuss how My Goat could be implemented on your property. We can even schedule a map to be prepared for your specific property and emailed to you.
If we get too excited speaking to real people, please keep us on track by asking us about how My Goat software is the true difference.
How our technology allows cemeteries to move, maintain, manage, and monitor a fleet of robotic lawn mowers.
How we can increase cemetery grounds staff productivity, reduce labor and maintenance costs, and provide a green, environmentally friendly mowing solution.
Last but certainly not least, we will be bringing a Nashville staple, Goo Goo Clusters, plus a raffle a day for a big-ticket prize.
Hats off to Susan Mena for planning the perfect June setting in Hilton Head. There is something for everyone. To kick off the SCCFA Conference, those looking to hit the links can participate in a golf tournament at Port Royal Golf Club and others looking for something a bit more relaxing can hit the beach.
When it’s time to get down to business, there is a wonderful lineup of speakers. Here is what you have to look forward to…

Closing Out The Convention
And after we’ve been all business all day, we can not wait to cut loose with our long-standing and newly made friends at the Oceanfront Reception and Low Country Boil. To finish off the conference, I’ll see y’all on the dance floor with the Band of OZ.
The goats are packed and we are ready to go. Let us know if we can prepare a map of your property beforehand or if we can bring any more information specific to your cemetery. And don’t forget to visit booth B-10. We’re the ones with the Goats!
Stay tuned to hear more from some key players with The Southern. We have more in the works.
